Aim of the study: to compare the results of elastic (ES) and loose seton (LS) method in treatment of the high anal fistula (F) or acute paraprocititis with high communication between the abscess and internal opening (AP). Methods: Analyisis of short- and late-term results of such operations was carried on. Results: 60 patients with F or AP were operated on during period of 1991-1997.
